Tradeshows Go Green with BDMetrics’ “Virtual Totebag”

New Technology Enables Tradeshow Attendees to Collect Session Content and Exhibitor Collateral via Their Mobile Devices

BALTIMORE, MD – April 22, 2009 – BDMetrics, Inc. today announced the launch of its new “Virtual Totebag,” an eco-friendly solution enabling tradeshow attendees to request, receive, store and share session content and exhibitor collateral via their mobile devices.

“No more frantically scribbling notes during sessions. No more brochure-heavy bags weighing you down. Now, the only thing attendees need on the show floor is a cell phone,” said Mollie Spilman, chief executive officer of BDMetrics. “With the Virtual Totebag, tradeshow attendees can collect and store speaker presentations, exhibitor collateral and more with a simple text message.”

To utilize the Virtual Totebag, attendees text collateral codes on display in conference sessions and exhibitor booths to request and download their desired materials at www.virtualtotebag.com. During the Virtual Totebag’s beta launch at last week’s International Sign Expo, attendees requested 461 materials from four pilot exhibitors and 37 conference sessions.

“The Virtual Totebag is a win-win-win,” said Lori Anderson, president and chief executive officer of the International Sign Association. “It lightens the load as attendees walk the exhibit hall; it drives leads and lowers costs for exhibitors; and it reduces tradeshow waste for a more eco-friendly event. In today’s environment, green solutions like the Virtual Totebag are essential to the future of our industry and our planet.”
